Objective To assess psychometric properties for the simplified Chinese version of the Care Evaluation Scale Version 2.0 (CES2.0) in cancer patients. Methods Translation, back translation and cultural adaptation were performed to develop the simplified Chinese version of the CES2.0 after obtaining authorization of the creator, then survey was conducted to test the reliability and validity of the scale. Results The simplified Chinese version of the CES2.0 included 10 dimensions and 28 items, accounting for 68.351% of the total variance. The content validity index was 0.925. The Cronbach′s alpha coefficient for the scale was 0.819 and for 10 dimensions ranged from 0.631 to 0.795. The oddeven splithalf reliability was 0.870 and the testretest reliability was 0.886. Conclusion The simplified Chinese version of the CES2.0 can be used to measure structure and process quality of hospice care for cancer patients with good validity and reliability.
