Abstract:Objective To translate the Sense of Belonging in Nursing School Scale(SNBS) into Chinese, and test its reliability and validity. Methods According to the Brislin translation model, used forward and backward translation and cultural adjustment to localize the SBNS scale.A convenience sampling method was adopted to survey 410 nursing interns to test the reliability and validity of the scale. Results The Chinese version of SBNS included 3 dimensions and 17 entries.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 3 common factors with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 70.622%.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that χ2/df=2.041,RMSEA=0.071,RMR=0.051,IFI=0.952,TLI=0.944,and CFI=0.952; the content validity index of the total scale was 0.977, and the content validity of each item was 0.857-1.00; the results of aggregation validity showed that the average variance extracted (AVE) of each dimension was >0.5, and the composite reliability was >0.7; and the discriminant validity showed that the he-terotrait monotrait ratio (HTMT) of the three dimensions were <0.85.The results of reliability analysis showed that the Cronbach′s α coefficient of the total scale was 0.940, the retest reliability was 0.938, and the split-half reliability was 0.803.Conclusion The Chinese version of SBNS exhibits good reliability and validity, and can be used to accurately assess the clinical sense of belonging of nursing interns.
