Abstract:Objective To translate and test the reliability and validity of the Long Term Success Tool (LTST) ,and to provide a reliable tool for accurately assessing the sustainability of clinical evidence-based practice programs in China. Methods Following the standard procedure for scale translation and cultural adaptation, the LTST was translated, back-translated, culturally adapted, and pre-tested to form the Chinese version of the LTST. The reliability of the Chinese version of the LTST was examined in a questionnaire survey conducted in March-April 2024 with a convenience sample of 366 medical staff from a tertiary care hospital in Henan Province. Results The Chinese version of the LTST contained 3 dimensions and 16 items. The overall content validity index of the scale was 0.958, and the content validity index of each item ranged from 0.833 to 1.000. Exploratory factor analysis extracted a total of 3 commom factors with eigenvalues ≥1, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 60.319%. Confirmatory showed a good fit of the scale model (χ2/df=1.287, GFI=0.929, CFI=0.980, NFI=0.919, TLI=0.977, IFI=0.981, RMSEA=0.037). The Cronbach′s alpha coefficient of the total scale was 0.908, the split-half reliability coefficient was 0.772, and the test-retest reliability was 0.881. Conclusion The Chinese version of the LTST has good reliability and validity, and it is suitable for the assessment of the sustainability of the clinical practice program.
