Objective To translate the Readiness of Advance Care Planning (RACP) Scale into a Chinese version and test its reliability and validity，and to provide reference for promoting the development of Advance Care Planning (ACP). Methods The RACP Scale was translated from English to Chinese according to the Brislin Translation Mode. A total of 394 breast cancer patients were investigated with the Chinese version of the scale, and the reliability and validity of the scale were analyzed. Results The exploratory factor analysis extracted five factors, and retained 28 entries,which were speaking and writing practice, identifying the importance of speaking and writing, intending to speak, intending to write, and behavioral readiness, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 85.785%.The results of the validated factor analysis showed a good model fit index with χ2/df=2.193, RMSEA=0.078, GFI=0.816, TLI=0.957, CFI=0.964, and IFI=0.964. The Cronbach′s α coefficient of the scale was 0.979 and the folded reliability coefficient was 0.855. Conclusion Chinese version of RACP Scale for breast cancer patients has good reliability and validity,and can be used to assess the advance care planning readiness of breast cancer patients.
