Abstract:Objective To compare the multisymptom assessment tools used in children with cancer at home and abroad, and provide reference for the symptom management in children with cancer.Methods Computer searches of PubMed, Web of Science, EMbase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Biology Medicine disc, and Wanfang Database were conducted to find tools used to assess multisymptom assessment in children with cancer,and the search time frame was from the creation of the database to September 2022.Information on the number of entries,reliability,scoring methods,and applicable targets of each tool was extracted to describe the included tools.Results Nine continuous assessment tools were finally included,with a total of 28 full-text documents,9 on the development of assessment tools and 19 on the application of assessment tools.Conclusion Currently, the quality of multisymptom assessment tools for children with cancer are uneven.It is necessary to develop multisymptom cluster assessment tools for different groups,and caregivers should dynamically track changes in children′s symptoms and develop interventions based on assessment results to facilitate symptom management in children with cancer.
