Development and usability test of visual assessment and management program of self-reported chemotherapy related adverse events in breast cancer patients
Objective To develop a visual evaluation and management program for chemotherapy related adverse events in breast cancer patients based on knowledge visualization and data visualization, and to evaluate its usability.Methods A multidisciplinary research team was set up to establish a framework of visual evaluation and management program for chemotherapy related adverse events of breast cancer patients by using expert working group method.Visual evaluation and management program was developed based on agile software development principles and 13 breast cancer patients were recruited to test their ability of the program based on eye tracking technology.Results A visual evaluation and management program for chemotherapy related adverse events of breast cancer patients was developed based on the development framework, and 5 usability problems were identified based on eye tracking technology and the program was optimized.The average score of the system usability scale was (76.35±13.17) points.Conclusion The visual evaluation and management program of adverse events for breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy has good usability and is suitable for the evaluation and management of adverse events of breast cancer patients.
