Dignity is a basic right and belief of human beings, so respecting and maintaining the dignity of patients is the basic requirement of nursing practice. Stroke patients might lose dignity because of impaired physical function, swallowing disorder and voice handicap. This paper summarized the assessment methods, influencing factors and interventions of dignity of stroke patients, thus to effectively maintain the dignity of stroke patients and improve their quality of life.
