Abstract:Objective To establish pain management quality indicators based on nursing information platform, and to explore the application effect of the indicators. Methods The patients were divided into 2 group according to admission dates. The control group(n=387) received routine pain management (including pain assessment, analgesia, and pain quality control), while the intervention group(n=484) was subjected to an information platform based monitoring protocol: pain management quality indicators were established and integrated into the information platform, which was used to implement 3-level quality control and push forward sustainable pain quality improvement activities. Results The pain assessment rate, the rate of analgesic measures use, effective rate of pain intervention and satisfaction with pain management in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05,P<0.01). Conclusion Pain management based on nursing information system is helpful to achieve standardization and normalization of pain management, and effectively improve the quality of pain management.
