Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between health literacy and healthy behaviors of hospitalized stroke patients, and provide corresponding reference for patients′ rehabilitation intervention. Methods A convenient sampling method was used to select 508 stroke patients from department of neurology and department of rehabilitation medicine from 4 3-A hospitals in Guiyang. The patients were investigated and analyzed using the Health Literacy Management Scale, the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile Ⅱ, and the demographic form. Results The overall score was (31.26±7.74) points for health literacy, and (127.18±4.19) points for healthy behaviors, with the two variables being positively correlated(r=0.633,P<0.01). Conclusion Given that health literacy is positively correlated with healthy behaviors, nursing staff should take measures to improve health literacy level of stroke patients, and help them foster healthy behaviors.
